Ouija Calling ET: Do You Copy? Posted: 15 Apr 2011 08:21 AM PDT Ouija Calling ET: Do You Copy? This is a true story about a series of Ouija board sessions which began much like many Ouija stories, recounting tales of communication with the spirits of the dearly and some not-so-dearly departed souls. This story, however, took a most unexpected turn when a list of strange words began to appear and suddenly the three participants of which this author was one found themselves fully immersed in a series of communications with ETs. Not dead, dearly departed ETs, mind you. No. These ETs were quite alive and well thank you – living on a planet called Grek-5 in a dimension they described as being in your future time. Sound strange? Improbable? Impossible? Unbelievable? Or was it all something quite different than what it appeared to be? Decide for yourself.(Illustrations accompany the text)

The Tsunami Threat – Research and Technology Posted: 15 Apr 2011 08:11 AM PDT The Tsunami Threat – Research and Technology Submarine earthquakes, submarine slides and impacts may set large water volumes in motion characterized by very long wavelengths and a very high speed of lateral displacement, when reaching shallower water the wave breaks in over land often with disastrous effects. This natural phenomenon is known as a tsunami event. By December 26, 2004, an event in the Indian Ocean, this word suddenly became known to the public. The effects were indeed disastrous and 227,898 people were killed. Tsunami events are a natural part of the Earths geophysical system. There have been numerous events in the past and they will continue to be a threat to humanity; even more so today, when the coastal zone is occupied by so much more human activity and many more people. Therefore, tsunamis pose a very serious threat to humanity. The only way for us to face this threat is by increased knowledge so that we can meet future events by efficient warning systems and aid organizations. This book offers extensive and new information on tsunamis; their origin, history, effects, monitoring, hazards assessment and proposed handling with respect to precaution. Only through knowledge do we know how to behave in a wise manner. This book should be a well of tsunami knowledge for a long time, we hope.

The language patterns or messages teachers and parents use when disciplining children influence behavior. Carefully chosen words and crafted messages can actively create the mental images and mood needed in children to move them away from noncompliance and oppositional behavior and closer to compliance. Persuasive language is behavioral language. When we master persuasive language, we control children’s behavior.

An Introduction to Biological Aging Theory Posted: 15 Apr 2011 07:46 AM PDT An Introduction to Biological Aging Theory Why do we age? The answer to this question is critical to our ability to prevent and treat highly age-related diseases such as cancer and heart disease that now cause the deaths of most people in the developed world. This short book provides an overview of biological aging theories including history, current status, major scientific controversies, and implications for the future of medicine. Major topics include: human mortality as a function of age, aging mechanisms and processes, the programmed vs. non-programmed aging controversy, empirical evidence on aging, and the feasibility of anti-aging and regenerative medicine.Evolution theory is essential to aging theories. Theorists have been struggling for 150 years to explain how aging, deterioration, and consequent death fit with Darwins survival of the fittest concept. This book explains how continuing genetics discoveries have produced changes in the way we think about evolution that in turn lead to new thinking about the nature of aging.
